The Town Hall of Estepona (Malaga) has informed that the city’s Orchid Botanical Park will host the VI Orchid Fair this weekend, which will present an interesting program of activities that aims to be more ambitious than in any other edition. Thus, as the main activity, this Saturday, at noon, in the auditorium of the Padre Manuel cultural center, the conference “The hidden intelligence of plants” will be held by the curator of the Orchidarium, Manuel Lucas. The expert will reveal to the audience some of the mysteries of the plants, as well as the reason for their successful existence.
In addition, this conference will have a special character since it will take place in the presence of the Minister-Consul of Ecuador in Valencia, Marcela Velasteguí, and the Consul of Ecuador in Malaga, Diana Veloz, who will briefly present their country and its botanical richness.
On the other hand, this Sunday, November 7, starting at 12 p.m., a practical workshop will be held in the facilities of the Orchidarium, where participants will receive advice on how to successfully grow orchids and obtain flowering throughout the season. ‘year. Participants can bring their own plants, either to practice with them or to diagnose their condition.
The VI Orchid Fair will also offer, on Saturday and Sunday, the exhibition and sale of a wide range of orchids, and will be an opportunity to discover the fantastic botanical collection of the Orchidarium of Estepona.
Admission will cost three euros for adults and one euro for children, and visiting hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.
