The mayor of Estepona and PP re-election candidate, José Maria Garcia Urbano, has presented the new sports and leisure facilities planned for the next term in the city’s northern zone, an area that will continue to grow with new projects that will complete the range of sports facilities in the municipality.
In particular, there are plans to create a velodrome for cycling, which will be combined with an indoor soccer pitch. At the same time, there are plans to integrate the Monterroso River into the city, creating an urban area for the citizen that will be linked to the exhibition and sports park, as well as to the city’s urban center.
In terms of sports facilities, there are also plans to
the complete renovation of the San Fernando soccer pitch, a project that will include the creation of an indoor swimming pool and underground parking lot with a capacity of 700 spaces, to be located under the same soccer pitch. Estepona with the creation of major cultural, social and sports facilities in the area. These include, These include the Exhibition and Sports Park, the Athletics Stadium, the Felipe VI Auditorium, as well as the creation of the northern bypass and the construction of 100 OPVs.
