The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Planning (Mitma) is carrying out repair work on the viaduct at the Cancelada junction, at kilometer point 165+600 of the A-7 motorway that crosses Estepona (Malaga).
To continue the repairs, the new beams which constitute the central span of the viaduct will be placed in the early hours of Saturday 24 to Sunday 25 July. And in the early hours of Monday July 26 to Tuesday July 27, the lost formwork pre-slabs will be placed on the beams that make up the central span of the viaduct.
The operation will be carried out between 00:00 a.m. and 08:00 a.m. Sunday and Tuesday, requiring the total closure of both carriageways of the A-7, for which alternative diversions have been planned through the branches of the Cancelada junction, according to a press release.
The viaduct structure had a central span 20 meters long with two beams, of which the one on the Marbella side was damaged. For this reason it was demolished.
