One of Estepona’s most controversial and eagerly awaited projects will soon be inaugurated.
Área Costa del Sol has learned that access to the top three floors will have to be paid for.
Located in the famous Los Pescadores district, next to the lighthouse, this 12-storey building will have a final cost, after approval of the budget increase, of over 16 million euros.
It will include a large library, with interior staircases and study areas, a music conservatory, an auditorium for cultural events, an exhibition hall with pieces from the Carmen Thyssen collection and a belvedere, from which some of the best views of the city can be admired.
But at a modest price.
Área Costa del Sol has exclusively published that the building will feature a luxury restaurant on the top floor and will occupy, concretely, according to this media outlet, three floors distributed as follows: Tenth floor: bar, distributed in an access core consisting of an elevator and two staircases with a built-up area of 50.57 m2; and the rest of the bar area with toilets, kitchen, bar and lounge with a built-up area of 113.27 m2.
Eleventh floor – distributed in an access core with an elevator and two staircases with a built-up area of 50.56 m2; and a bar-lounge area – with double height – and toilet with a built-up area of 69.24 m2.
Twelfth floor – viewpoint – comprising an access core with elevator and two staircases with a built-up area of 53.99 m2 and an open, covered terrace with a surface area of 92.37 m2.
It is precisely in the concession document for the operation of these floors for hotel purposes that the price for the use of the elevator is included: – Reduced price for the use of the elevator.
The maximum price for elevator use will be 2 euros including tax.
Each reduction of 0.20 centimes will be valued at 1 point, with a maximum of 5 points.
In other words, the city council has set a price of two euros for use, which can be improved by companies wishing to win the contract by reducing it to one euro in order to increase their score in the tender.
On the other hand, the use of the elevator will be controlled by human staff, in particular, the council requests that disabled people work in the elevator, thus offering a better score in this respect: – Commitment to hire disabled people to control the use of the elevator.
A total of 3 points will be awarded for each proposed contract, with a maximum of 6 points.
Soon, it will be time for the inauguration of this space which, whether we like it or not, will become emblematic.
It remains to be seen whether you’ll need to bring a car to enjoy it on the day itself.
At least for parking, yes. If you are looking for a property in Estepona and the surrounding area, we invite you to consult our catalog on the pages :
