Whether you are an owner, a resident or visiting, here is your complete agenda so you do not miss a thing this summer week. <\/em><\/p>\n

Estepona: the cultural capital of the summer<\/h2>\n

Estepona never slows down in summer. The town strings together exhibitions, free concerts, open-air cinema and major family-friendly events. Here is what awaits you this week. <\/p>\n

Flamenco and music<\/h3>\n

The week opens in style with the Festival Flamenco<\/strong> at the Plaza de Toros d’Estepona<\/a>, where Alba Moreno<\/strong> and Canelita<\/strong>, two leading figures of today\u2019s cante<\/em>, perform in one of the summer\u2019s most spectacular settings (Sunday, July 26, to kick off the week). <\/p>\n

That same weekend, the Banda Municipale d’Estepona<\/strong> launches its summer concert series \u00ab M\u00fasica a las Noches del Verano \u00bb<\/em> with a free open-air concert on the Plaza del Reloj<\/a>. A great opportunity to discover the historic centre in the evening. <\/p>\n

For tablao<\/em> lovers, the show \u00ab Flamenco Mi Caseta \u00bb<\/strong> offers live flamenco sessions at the Recinto Ferial d’Estepona<\/a>, with the option to have dinner on site. One session is scheduled in particular on Friday, July 31<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Open-air cinema and culture<\/h3>\n

Throughout July, the Cin\u00e9ma d’\u00c9t\u00e9<\/a> lights up the city\u2019s parks with free screenings at 10:00 PM<\/strong> at the Orquidario, Parque de la Juventud and Parque de los Ni\u00f1os. An ideal, budget-friendly outing for families. <\/p>\n

On the exhibition side, two dates not to be missed at the Centre Culturel Mirador del Carmen<\/strong>: the private collection \u00ab Maestros de la Luz y la Forma \u00bb<\/a> \u2014 47 paintings and 13 sculptures, on display until August 14.<\/p>\n

Family-friendly and outdoors<\/h3>\n

Strategy lovers will enjoy \u00ab Ajedrez para Todos \u00bb<\/a>: giant chessboards set up on the Paseo Mar\u00edtimo, free to access from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, until August 23.<\/p>\n

Younger visitors will be delighted by DINOEXPO XXL<\/a>, the large life-size dinosaur exhibition at the Palacio de Congresos (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM; \u20ac12 adults, \u20ac10 children).<\/p>\n

Finally, the 31st Summer Book Fair<\/a> sets up its second-hand booksellers\u2019 stalls along the Paseo Mar\u00edtimo \u2014 nearly two months of reading with the sea as your backdrop.<\/p>\n

The weekend: heading into August<\/h3>\n

On Saturday, August 1, Parque El \u00c1ngel<\/strong> hosts \u00ab La Movida Flamenca \u00bb<\/a>, a night of open-air flamenco as part of the city\u2019s summer cultural programme. That same weekend, the Cancelada<\/a> neighbourhood celebrates its local festivities, with activities, concerts and entertainment for all ages. <\/p>\n

Marbella: Starlite and the big nights out<\/h2>\n

In Marbella, summer rhymes with Starlite Occident<\/strong>. For its 15th edition, Europe\u2019s most prestigious boutique festival transforms the Cantera de Nag\u00fceles<\/a> \u2014 a natural amphitheatre with 60-metre rock walls \u2014 into a magical stage every night. Doors open at 8:00 PM (gastronomic offering at the Starlite Lounge), concerts start at 10:00 PM, and the Starlite Night Club<\/em>, the only nightclub in the world set inside a quarry, closes around 6:00 AM. <\/p>\n
